Week #16-Kindness

This week of the Franklin Makeover is an amazing Mastermind experience where everyone is focusing on Kindness. The more we focus on it the more we see it all around us and even in us. It is an amazing experience that leaves you feeling warm and happy!! I was very excited about this week because of my experience with last year’s MKMMA group. I really enjoyed it last year and had some wonderful memories just from that week alone. This week started out amazing and my friend was enjoying the wonderful kindness all around her as well. Things changed quite suddenly for me yesterday though and I’m not quite sure why! It started with a snowy and difficult commute in to work with lots of angry commuters yelling obscenities at one another. I tried to ignore this and continued on to work. I opened up my work email and had an urgent email from the head of our Department. It was a long email filled with words like “shortage, lack, downsizing, cutting and minimizing”. Needless to say there was a lot of chatting and a meeting was called immediately. The day just continued on a downward spiral from there with lots of negativeness and anger throughout the department.By the end of my day I was in quite a funk and I wasn’t seeing andy kindness anywhere. My mastermind partner as well as my son were very helpful in bringing me back out of this state! I decided to read some of the kindnesses in the Alliance section of the MKMMA website and found this to be a wonderful ย resource to bring me back to focusing on kindness. My day ended on a much more positive note. Thanks to all you kind MKMMA’ers!!

Today was a much better day because I tried extra hard to focus on kindness and I tried to bring the hope for joy to all I met. I will continue to visualize a positive happy day first thing every morning to ensure a day full of kindness!

GREAT post, Wendy! Bravo for your resourcefulness, focus on KINDNESS and resiliency in light of the stormy work environment you went through. Your blog LOOKS GREAT – I’d like to know how you made it so attractive and what hosting resource you chose to use. Also, where to you live in Ireland?

Thank you Art, I don’t have a hosted blog I just used the free wordpress and added photos to it. I actually live in Canada but would love to visit Ireland one day. Are you from Ireland?

Well done Wendy on maintaining your positive frame of mind despite the world around you being in chaos. As your light shines and your smile calms the hearts of those around you I am sure they will wonder what you are doing. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚
