Week #12-Grattitude

This past weekend my son and I spent a morning helping the local food bank to collect food at a grocery store. We were put at the entrance with a woman and her two young children. While the morning progressed we learned that this woman and her children had been homeless last year and that she finally had a job that allowed her to get an apartment. She was so grateful that the food bank had helped her in the past and wanted to give back now that she was able to feed and clothe her children on her own. This experience was quite an eye opener for my son. He was surprised that this woman had been in that situation the prior year. I was really glad that she shared her story with us and we both realized that we have a lot to be grateful for in our lives.

The whole experience was a good one! We had so much support from the community that we “stuffed a bus” full of food in a few short hours.

Week 11 of the Master Keys was a very difficult read for me! I had to pull out my dictionary and dissect almost every section to understand what was being said. What I basically figured out was that you must believe that you already have your DMP to receive it.


I think that we have to create the ability to see our DMP as it has already occurred so that we can believe that it is actually something that we are worthy of  receiving. The more that we see this future occurring the more we believe that this is true. If we spend 30 minutes every day in building the belief that our DMP has been achieved then we will be building the capacity to receive it.

Week #10-Persistence

Scroll III of Og Mandino’s ” The World’s Greatest Salesman” teaches us about the power of persistence. The examples he gives of the rain drop washing away mountains and the ant who devours a tiger really put this idea into perspective. He then uses sales as an example. ” I will persist with knowledge that each failure to sell will increase my chance for success at the next attempt. Each nay I hear will bring me closer to the sound of yea.” He really drives the point home when stating that ” I must fail often to succeed only once. I will persist until I succeed.”


I  can now see how the MKMMA course is teaching us to develop persistence and achieve our goals in life!

Hill Persistence

The first step has been to write our DMP (Definite Major Purpose) and establish a “burning desire” for it’s attainment. The second step our POA cards that keep us moving forward with the actions we need to attain our goals. The Mental Diet to achieve a PMA ( Positive Mental Attitude) and finally a Master Mind!

DMP + POA +PMA + MM = Sucess!!!

Total genius!!!

Week#9- Affirmations

In Master Key week 9 I came across an affirmation that is the affirmation to end all affirmations! “If there is anything you require,it will be well for you to make use of this affirmation; it cannot be improved upon”.

“I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and happy” 

I really love this affirmation! I feel powerful and loving when I repeat it and it makes me repeat it louder with more feeling each time I say it!!

I am also reading Og Mandino’s Scroll II that ties in with this affirmation so perfectly. “I great this day with love in my heart”. Using this Scroll and this affirmation daily have truly made me thankful for everything I have in my life and I feel that I am now exuding love from every pore!

The Master Key Course has us use this affirmation whenever we have negative thoughts and we are to affirm it for ourselves as well as for others! When we send thoughts of love and health out to others and to the Universe they also return to us!! This is exciting and I am trying to use this beautiful affirmation as often as I can! I hope that anyone that reads this blog can feel that I am sending this wonderful message to you!!

Week #8-Negative Thoughts

Part eight of the Master Key has had me thinking about Negative thoughts this week. In this section it points out the difference between Emerson and Carlyle. Emerson loved good in life and he was rewarded with peaceful and harmonious life while Carlyle had a difficult and inharmonious life because he hated the bad. Even though they both had similar feelings their outcomes were completely different. The Master Key points out that destructive thought will bring “discord of every kind and character”. Section 19 states that “You can not entertain weak, harmful thoughts ten hours a day and expect to bring about harmonious conditions by ten minutes of strong, positive, creative thought.”

This got me thinking about my thoughts throughout my normal day and how many people I see on a regular basis enjoy spouting their negative thoughts for every one else to hear! How does this affect the rest of us? If I am trying to think positive happy thoughts but I am hearing negative ones from other people all day how does that affect me and everyone else around us?

One of my close coworkers consistently is saying negative comments about another close coworker and I tend to agree with her. I think this is a bad situation especially since we have a new trainee who hears all of this as well. I decided that I need to discontinue this process and was prepared to discuss this with my coworker. I wasn’t sure how I was going to phrase it so that I did not offend her but it ended up not to be a problem after all! When I went in to work my colleague said ” I’m not going to let this get to me anymore and I am going to be more positive about this from now on!” I don’t know why or where this came from but I am so happy that I didn’t have to bring it up and potentially have a situation where she was angry with me as well. Hopefully we can all use this to improve our work environment and make it a happier more positive place!!

Week #7- My Best

This week was total chaos for me…..BUT I survived!!! I give all the credit to the MKMMA course for helping me manage this past week without going crazy!! It started last weekend with a Convention that I worked at. It was a great learning experience and I met lots of fabulous new people but I was totally exhausted when I got back home. To make a long story short I found out that my neither of my coworkers would be at work this week and I would have to manage an extra busy week with a fairly new trainee as my only help!! She was a trooper and did a fabulous job…. thank goodness!!

Since I had set up most of my MKMMA requirements as “habits”, I was able to get everything done except for my blogging and my DMP re-write. Now that I have a few minutes I am trying to get that all done as well. Better late than not at all I guess!! I have to say I still feel like I accomplished a lot this week and I feel like I did my best!! My new habits helped me immensely this week and the sit really helped me to stay relaxed and focused. I was actually able to lose five pounds this week as well thanks to a 5 Day Detox plan set up by another MKMMA member. I didn’t even have to think about what to eat it was all planned out for me.

So even after a crazy seventy hour work week,  I actually feel good and ready for more!!

Week #6- Year 2 The Power of Love


The Scroll Marked II

“I will greet this day with love in my heart.” My favourite Of Og Mandino’s scrolls (although I think I say this with every new scroll)!!! It puts me in a wonderful mood as soon as I awake in the morning and throughout the whole day!! I’ve noticed that when I think of love my whole attitude changes and then everyone around me seems to be in a lighter mood. I wish everyone knew of this powerful weapon and used it everyday. The world would be an even more amazing place! Although showing love to others is amazing, I think the biggest lesson Og teaches us in this scroll is about self love. “And most of all I will love myself. For when I do I will zealously inspect all things which enter my body, my mind, my soul , and my heart.” Og reminds us to feed our body with healthy food and to feed our mind and soul with positive thoughts and meditation. To be our best we require all of this as well as sharing our heart with others so that “it will grow and warm the earth.” Og also teaches us that we can succeed with love alone but even if we have all the knowledge and skills in the world we won’t succeed without it.
